Technically, in my opinion, they always hogged the spotlight. I half agree and half disagree. Vegeta was, by far, the most popular character in the eyes of the fans(and a bit overrated in that sense), but he hardly ever got any real "spotlight." He's usually the one to brag about how strong he is, only to mess up and make things worse(and of course Goku will show up shortly after and fix everything while the other fighters stare in awe an amazement) In GT, he went SSJ4, but was he able to do anything notable on his own? Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Dragonball/Z/Super, Naruto/Shippuden, One Piece, Hellsing, Death Note	As Kotetsu stated, Akira Toriyama had little influence in Dragonball GT besides some art designs for Super Saiyan 4 and the like. Gotenks was ALMOST made in Dragonball GT [if my sketchy memory of GT is right, since I'm more of a Dragonball/Z genius, then, Trunks/Goten were about to fuse to make Gotenks but Gogeta came along].

My GT knowledge is a bit dodgy due to the fact it was soo boring and crap. Akira Toriyama didn't do anything in GT, he was just watching over being the supervisor with no support.

Google Chrome Favourite Manga Naruto, YUGIOH GX	GT wasn't the best show (Mainly because the lack of characterization and making most characters watchers having no real active part in the show) but we did get some cool characters: SS4 Goku, Vegeta, Gogeta. Then Majubb, Omega Shenron, and Nova Shenron were so good characters (in the video games anyway).

Internat explorer	I thought GT was them trying to bring back the ideas of Draginball, where they just looked for them and saved the world along the way and I also believe that Goku was the main character in dragonball aswell, a kid with a tail.

They tried to mix the classiness of DB with the action of DBZ, and ultimately the action took over the show leaving elements like character development and real adventure form DB to fade away.
